What Ubuntu does lack.... Webcam support

Ubuntu is a great Operating System and my personal favorite. It does everything I want it to, EXCEPT one thing; web chatting. I currently have a Sony Vaio VGN-CR410E and my motion eye doesn't work with Ubuntu 9.04. I tried finding a solution (I was going to post a How-To Guide for it) but I never succeeded. I couldn't get it to work with Cheese or with Skype. I learned about video4linux but that didn't get me to far either.

Ubuntu Studio, what's the difference?

Just like anyother Linux distro, people have the ablity to take Ubuntu, change it and distrbute as something new. It's one of the beauties of Linux because it always has the opporunity of becoming better.
